Job Title: Physician - Family Medicine
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician in Family Medicine to join our medical team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive medical services to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, health maintenance, and disease management. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, performing routine check-ups, educating patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting thorough medical evaluations and diagnosing patients' conditions accurately
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and appropriate therapies
- Providing compassionate care and support to patients throughout their treatment process
- Performing routine check-ups, health screenings, and immunizations for patients of all ages
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, X-rays, and EKGs
- Offering counseling on disease prevention, behavioral modification, and health promotion
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and manage patient care effectively
- Documenting patients' medical histories, symptoms, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records systems
- Staying current with the latest advancements in Family Medicine through continuous education and professional development
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols
- Supervising and mentoring medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals, as required
- Providing on-call coverage and responding to patient emergencies promptly, when needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine
- State medical license and compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to develop effective treatment plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare technology systems
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive care
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
